Our History
In 1907 a group of men met to organize Farmers Mutual Insurance Association of Castle Grove, which turned out to be what we know today as Castle Grove Mutual Insurance. The original board members were, President J. A. McLaughlin, Secretary S. M. Hosford, J. A. Howie, James Hogan, Dennis Delay, and Andrew Davidson.
In 1911 Mr. Hosford was instructed to investigate reputable lightning rod concerns for the benefit of reducing fire occurrences for the members.
In 1927 the by-laws were changed to allow the association to insure houses in town.
In 1948 the Association's name was changed to what it is still to this day. Castle Grove Mutual Insurance Association.
